To be brutally honest, the annual manoeuvres on Ithaca have become a bit of a farce, since the current Empress decided she was a military genius. Fortunately, she lacks the constitutional power to take the Empire to war, but she does insist on commanding one side in the manoeuvres. Court protocol insists that the Empress must always be victorious. So far, though, she hasn't convinced herself that she is an ace hybridfighter-pilot, so the rivalry among the fighter pilots retains a genuine focus: the Monty Python Medal, named after a great pilot back on Earth. Only the two elite fighter wings, the female Annie Oakley Wing and the male Buffalo Bill Wing, get to put forward contestants. As the hour approaches, the banter is good-natured, but the rivalry is palpable. V4 and Sydney with my morphs; V3 with Dannii morph and texture.
