Description

Matrix extruded spheres, repel brush and magnets, volumetric light (no GI), optikVerve Labs Virtual Photograper Photoshop filter, and a grainy dream of soft, floating colonial life. (OK, I should have rotated the thingie in the foreground a little - a little symmetry is showing.) One of the things I like best about C4D, from a noob's viewpoint, is that one can just *play* with C4D's tools, deformers, and such, with no real plan in mind, and come up with some pretty cool stuff. One of the things I like least is its phoney DOF. (harumph) ;-)

Superb work. For DOF, many people choose Chris M's ZBlur plugin: http://www.biomekk.com/index.php?page=1&cat=107&itm=3

The colours caught my eye with this. Nice organic shapes. For depth of field you could render a seperate depth map and use that in your paint program to get depth according to your requirements. As already mentioned 'ZBlur' is a very good alternative to Cinemas' depth effects (and it sees through transparency/alpha maps too!).

Very nice. They sure look toxic. Great job. I love matrix extrude, its one of the only things ive been playing with in C4D actually cos its so effective. I know exactly what you mean about playing with the tools and coming up with some cool stuff. Good job! ::-)
