Description

These birds are so Elusive, we very rearly know they are here, they make no noises & sit up in the canopy of the tree until they feel it's safe to enter the feeding area, when they come into feed they don't stay long, when leaving the feeding area they make a loud shreiking noises. this photo was taken on an very overcast day with the birds up high in the tree. exposure was +1.7. This has to be an Australian shot. We get King Parrots eating our bananas here they are quiet which is more than I can say about the Lyre birds we have here at the moment we have had one singing all day for about 3 weeks and all his tail feathers are up it's all very exciting because they are very shy and hard to photograph.
