The vapid amusement would be the leopard and the dragon as a symbol for the king and his natural adversary. Then the king would take it all over as a responsibility of court at the end of each year. Once the tiger takes over from the leopard I lose my Arthurian reference. I must yield to the long sufferering colonial masters and the native powers. Until the gong is rung and China walks in. I am craning my neck and squinting my eyes to see if the dragon is blue. (???)
