Hey, we have a Wolfsboro right up the road, but I think it has an e in it after the wolf. Nice place to live, however. They are actually one of the two places in NH to host First Night celebrations on New Year's Eve. Anyway, the pigs had to face the realisms of life; homeownership in any way, shape, or form is an expensive pain in the butt. Great story, hope they don't win too much in the lawsuit!

This is scary.. I live in a house of stone (actually stucco) and the three little pigs were my in-laws that kept showing up at my door, over many years, looking for refuge from the big bad wolves. As usual, tax and bill collectors, or the law, played the role of bad wolves and were always trying to blow my door down looking for the three little pigs. The only good thing to come from my wife's passing was the three little pigs lost their leverage on me and was last heard from, heading for the hills (somewhere in Dakota I think). So excuse me if I root for the wolves this time...lol. Great, clever and funny story Mere. Wonderfully well written too. Hugs from Dave :^)

LOL! Great story. I think you should have started on the Wolfsboro part. Certainly your fables are not like any other fables. They tend to be very real and be full of smarty pants. Maybe children would have learnt a bit more reading yours... or maybe they would be crazier! Funny job you're doing.

Dear Meredith you tell a mean fable, those poor little bacon bitz didn't stand a chance against those narky inspectors ! Story telling to the CRACKED...my sides are sore from too many giggle fits ! I wonder if they were 3 little beaver's instead, they might have passed all the inspections and then built a wolf-on-a-stick take-away food stall ! hehehe Superb prose and wit once more, you twisted blond(e) you ! Cheers :o)

Ouch!!!! Didn't see that curve..... Was the wolf also a relation to someone on the city council? ( Sounds Like Ours.....) Remind me to tell you of the Hanging tree here in town... Oldest Tree in Colorado.... or used to be anyway....Was interested to see the spin you'd put on the story and wasn't disapointed...Excellent!!!

how many square feet was the 3lp's house? Was it big enough for all 3 lps? What if they invited some friends? Well, back to the point, I bet the 3 pigs could have sat on the wolf. Great story!!

I've met a few wolves that couls huff and puff. They were full of hot air. :) Any how...great fable and much better than the original, IMHO. Always thought it was silly of that wolf to try and blow a house down. LOL

Disney never did anything like! It's sadly so true. The homeowners association people are like the storm troopers. Absolutley hilarious! You've got a wicked wicked sense of humor!
dmg9807
OH MY GOD!!! This is hilarious! Every homeowner in America should read this because we've all tangled with "wolves" of one sort or another! Fabulous story, Meredith!
