In a motionless state I ponder
Look upon the evergreen
This is the love of nature
One rarely ever seen
I would hug the tree so tightly
If it knew my human hand
But it doesn't even know
How it grew from the land
In a dark and quiet night
Stare through infinity
This is the love of wonder
And its unknown destiny
I would scale the vast heavens
If it weren't for my human form
But I don't exist to it
From this place I was born
In the vacancy of my room
I dream before I sleep
This is the love of memories
The pleasant ones to keep
I would stop the hands of the clock
And change the path of time
But I am only human
And these dreams are only mine
In a box I see of faces
And one I look upon
In heart he's always with me
Although the journey's long
I'd make the earth much smaller
If I had superhuman strength
This is the love of me
Far beyond its normal length

EXCELLENT -simple pleasers so often overlooked-to lay under the branches and look skyword--the grain of strenghth running up the limbs--mother earth has provided us with so many wonders - Shall mankind ever respect her bounty ??
