Description
Okay, I've had this Bryce/Photoshop creation sitting in my data base since last August, and it's been preying on my conscience, so I feel it's only fair I break away from the Photography section for a day or so and post this composition. I know Jocko will like this one.
Incidentally, other than being a large delta wing aircraft, similar to the old Convair Hustler B-58 bomber, I have no idea what it's name or designation is. It's purpose is to perform research for NASA.
I downloaded the model off of the Renderosity free stuff gallery, or at least I think that was the source.
Thanks for dropping by, and keep your eyes to the sky!

I do love space and this is super. This is where we get most the knowledge we have of spce to day. wish I could photo some of the stuff NASA have or see. useing they camera that photo things the eye can not see. cool looking image you made
vkoontz
It is a North American XB-70 Valkyre. Designed to be a supersonic bomber. Only 2 were made and one crashed.

Wow, vkoontz is so correct! Thank you! I had completely forgotten about the aircraft. My post research indicates it was first flown on 21 September 1964 and the remaining aircraft was retired on 4 February 1969. It was powered by six General Electric engines and did achieve its design speed of Mach 3.

Cool render Harry, it's quite a believable scene. The chase plane, military trucks all offering security to the XB. Nice work for sure!
