I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Overall, I like it a lot. Two design kibitzes-- (1) Where are the reverse thrusters? Maybe the paired engines on the outbaord could be re-engineered to swivel 180 degrees? That way the landing and mining gear in the ship's rear/bottom could be more forcefully brought into action. (2) Rather than swivel the engines, you might consider a tugboat approach and place additional landing/mining gear on the front of the ship, replacing the current command dome. The command area could be moved farther back, say in that ring bulge a short distance down the hull. But again, you will need some kind of reverse thrusters.

I think it is an excellent model. My one suggestion would be to vary the texture a bit.

Great looking ship, lovely design, I like the at once bulky and yet aerodynamic feel to it. ^^

Very nice, I agree with Anterior though vary the testure a bit and possibliy add some text id's to the hull. The stark lighting really gives the pic a nice depth a lot of people complain that space images have too much light in Bryce, which is true if you don't work at it. Good job, I look forward to more.

Fantastic start...the details are awesome. Hull text would make this stand out even more. Great job!

cool bryce modelling ! keep it up.

Excellent dut, ce mode fait avec Bryce est superbe.

No reverse thrusters as such are needed. You do need attitude control thrusters to flip the ship. These can be fairly trivial in relative size. Look at the space shuttle.

This is a very beautiful image! This is an excellent work of art! Five stars!

Great modelling and I think the addition of hull text would stand out good as well, however, this is good enough on it's own. If I'd modelled this I'd be proud. Tony :-)

Great lighting and a great start! (just thought I look right back)
