My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

It is interesting. I did a similar image, of a type, like this in Bryce a few years back.

do you have refraction enabled on the glass?

Nope - that's just the way it came out. Ray is on, no a/o, z-transp at 1.65. I did this about four weeks after I started learning Blender, and had some help with the above-mentioned settings. At that point I was just happy to get "spin" to work! (A friend of mine loaded me up with Blender at the beginning of August, and now you can't pry me away from it with a crowbar! I'm thrilled to have found a place where I can post Blender images and get feedback from other Blender artists. I'll be posting more, hoping nobody minds too much that I'm showing some older stuff and catching up. I guess no artist is without a bit of ego! I like people to see what I've been up to. All comments are welcome - my learning curve is more of a cliff than anything else at this point!)
