Description
For my birthday my niece gave me a lovely photo of her son. I just had to draw him, so I placed myself in my best chair and used an hour or so drawing. So his time I used a model. :)

oh, just wonderful. I saved the URL a few days back, and after sitting with it now, I'm really filled with the radiance of your niece's son. And with the openness and cleanness of your lines & expression. A few pages back you called yourself an "amateur" (you said it in a reply to someone's comment): Helle, I've drawn for years and I still can't do figure drawing like this—of either the face or the body; and this face-drawing is just beautiful. Even the way you left the top of his hair 'open' is wonderful. The open space on his face serves to brighten his expression, and I find it beautiful & uplifting. I've seen that you have a very delicate touch with pencils, I saw it on other pencil drawings too. It amazes me (especially since I tend to go so heavy on pencils!) So now I get to fave a drawing of yours. This is wonderful! Oh—as of this comment, you're 4 short of 800 uploads: Man, that's big! (Maybe you'll have the canvas done by then...)
