Description

Or "Lunch Interruptus." Grin. Why write the story? It's the same old tale that enthralls us every time. Our hero hears a piercing scream, rushes to investigate, and finds our fair damsel about to be some monster's lunch. Instead of leaving the creature to enjoy his delicacy, he intervenes and slays the beast. The pair fall instantly in love and marry. They always live "happily ever afterward," but do they? You know what they say; "No good deed goes unpunnished. Grin. Or as one fortune cookie told my wife and me: "You are doomed to marital bliss." An interesting mistranslation, don't you think? Very pleased with this render, except that the radial lights "bleached" out the texture of the beast a bit more than I would like. Fiddled with it, but as they were already on as low an intensity setting as was possible, the only alternative was to start removing some of the individual lights. However, any I removed made other parts of the picture way too dark. As always, thanks for dropping by and taking a look. Any comments, positive or negative, are very much appreciated. Thanks! Jeremy Credits: A3 realistic (DAZ); "Lagoon" morphs and "Nicki" textures maps, both fine net freebies and I regret not being able to find the README files on either to give proper credit to their creators; Quarker's "Saphire Fox Hair" (Renderosity). H3 realistic (DAZ); "Russell Updated for M3" texture by nouschka (Renderosity); "Damaru Jigoku" outfit (DAZ); sword is "katana" prop from Dodger's "Samurai Yoroi for M3" (DAZ). "Gargoyle Hound" a DAZ original; skin texture is a freebie texture by Judith Ward (I think), but I played with the coloring. Setting is "Forest Ruin" by TransPond Chris Oldershaw and Judith Ward (RDNA). MCDLabs's "Indian Girl" outfit, which I think is a freebie.

Giggle I thought where you told about the fortion cookie's "doom" was absulutly adorable and also very sweet. Well, everybody needs a hero sometimes, and I think your illustration shows this admirably. The dragon looks very feirce and aslo rather upset at having his "meal" spoiled doesan't he? I think the extra light on the scales gives it a bit of a nice gleaming in the sun sort of feel, and does not hurt the peice at all. The setting is very apt, it just the sort of place one might expect to encounter such a creature, with the remains of perhaps some ancient edifice where perhaps the beast made it's home now slowly giving way to natural overgrowth. The green and brick really contrast while with the dragon and characters. Poor, Aiko, she does seem to have a habit of running into nasty beasties at times doesan't she? Although we cannot see all of her face, the posing you've done clearly expresses in her body language her fear of this savage beast. The lighting looks great on her skin and clothese by the way, really bringing out there highlights, very impressive. Hiro looks ready to save the day, and I rather like the fact that in this instance, he's not been overdone in the "heroic" sense. Both in his form and posture there is a mix of both determination, but also his own fears and concerns for Aiko and for having to face this angry monster. It gives him a nice sense of humanity and realistic reaction, which is very good. Overall I think this is a very good peice, both in compistion, and attention to the subtle details, those little touches that make a render exceptional. Really very impressive and well done. I like it, one can view it either at a glance as a gripping action picture, but there are enough subtle details to make it worth more then one look. Well done. ^^

definately top notch work. I have have had the picture up for much of the day - to view as and when I could. love the detail and lighting. I am particula4rly impressed with the color and texture of the handsome critter, tho I had to think about it to decide what its leniages is. left rear leg looks slightly deformed - or has Mr baldy already taken a whack at it? LOL.
