Description

This beautiful Bark sits proudly in her berth in Whitby harbour. Leaves a huge gap in the dock when she leaves, take a piece of my heart with her too!! I am going to upload another shot of her on a brighter day, which shot do you prefer? Hugs for all. Diane.

I think this one is the better one - in mood. I don't know but sailing ships like that somehow have a better impression in a foggy environment.

I love this shot. At first because I like the sailboats as this one, as if it cross the time. And because of these two personns sitting in front of it, as if they remember something of their past. This photograph tell me a story. Hugs

Bucking the trend so far, I have to say I like the sunshine shot. But then, I have a great affection for Tall Ships and love the detail in them. I lived in a place where the Ellisa docked and I know a guy who is part of the crew when it sails. It's a wonderful old-world feeling to see these ships at rest and to watch them move in the open water.

I like the misty shot myself, it has a wonderful mood about it. Nathalie brings up a valid point with the two people in front, I think that adds charm and character as well. Nice work!!

your shot shows the rigging of well, it's looks so jumbled up can't imagine what it would be like to live out in the open sea in one of these ships for months on end Simon

Somehow I prefer the darker, misty one, could be the added secrecy.

What a beautiful sailing ship! This does have a sad and lonely feel to it. I am on my way to look at it in the sunshine and tell you what I think. I don't know how it could be much lovelier. Okay...so there isn't a place to comment on the other one. I like them both for different reasons. The sunshine one is joyous and full of promise! The red roofs in the background make it seem like a celebration. Gotta say, I like them equally!

Wonderful romantic master of the high seas! Excellent shots, both of them, but I think the color and contrast in the sunny one stands out more.

I love them both! The mist makes it seem any time or any place. While the sunshine shows off all the details. As well as the ruins on the hilltop behind! You can see what I mean about choosing!LOL! Thanks BJ

Oh you are so cruel! Choose?!!! I don't think I can. :-) I love the detailing you can see in the sunshine shot, but I also love the feeling in the misty shot, so I have to vote for both of them. ;-) Excellent work.
