This brings back memories of snow in Michigan. Sometimes the sun shining on the white was blindingly beautiful! So there is really snow someplace....I had almost forgotten.

Beautiful! I love the contrast of the bright sun with the mist! (I lived in Seattle for over 20 years, and love the area)

Beautiful landscape and the backlight really makes the texture of the sand very pronounced, lovely work.

Hi everyone, oh I love the snow too. I had forgotten how great it was to be immobilized by the cold stuff. and to see it's ever changing beauty, wow. I was there 6 days. I'll try to bring you along with my photos.. THank you all for your comments. I'm trying to figure out how to move there!! Then you'll come visit and photograph, right? lol It was simply amazing, some of you good photographers would have been able to caprute so many great photos, I just snapped while skiing or snowshoeing, but felt fortunate to have been able to see what I saw.. Hugs!!

The 3 tierd display of snow, clouds and mountains against the blue sky looks pretty cool. What am I saying? Of course it's cool - it's most likely really, really cold. But beautiful it is.

It was simply amazing,. the landscape changed like the vapor it is, I stood on one spot and watched a new world each moment. The fog one moment that diffussed a tree was gone in a twinkling, moving magically elsewhere.... The fog bank in this photo was hovering over the huge frozen lake.
