Description

This is exactly the same Picture as my last post, except it is in B&W. I also wanted to upload something in the Lightwave gallery. For some reason the Lightwave gallery is tiny and I don't know why. Surely there are more people using LW9. I couldn't decide which version I liked the most, the colour or B&W so that's a good enough excuse to post this one and see what everyone else thinks.

Nice setup here. Really like the focus. Wavers like "selfmade" models so, the reason their gallery is smaller than most...

Great image m8. I love the focus and the use of black and white. Makes me want to try much harder and post more. Well done.

Hi Richardson.... I can appreciate a purist waver being more impressed with a self made model and in an ideal world I would wish to do that, BUT, I simply do not have the skills with modeler to model anything from scratch. I have had LW9 for a handful of months and have much to learn, but until then it's gonna have to be poser models for me I'm afraid. However I still cannot understand why the LW gallery is a small as it is.

WOW! Lovely, but then again you knew I'd say that. It has my favorite 3d figure in it. Man - great idea! The B&W one here is my fave

Really beautiful and very realistic image. I think I'd say the reason why LightWave gallery is smaller than for example 3DS Max gallery lies in the character of the artist in each group. I think it's obvious that in 3DS gallery there are more proffesionals, while in LightWave there are more hobbyists. And of course hobbyists, even though they can produce very good art, do not have as much time to do CGI. I think that's it...

Craig. Nothing to worry about. Enjoy LW3D and meanwhile, I wish I could do that well with Poser. Excellently posed and rendered.

Your close. Highlights in the hair at the front are a distraction. Personally a moist sheen on the lips and you would have nailed it. Powerful use of DOF. Great to see thought and effort put into an image resulting in renders being pushed to a new level. Lightwave is a powerful tool (especially LW9) so keep at it. Fantastic work. B/W version has more impact...
