Description

Vue6I, SkinVue6: I was playing around with the new 3D Alpha Layers inside of Vue 6. It opens up some interesting possibilities for adding Second Skin clothing to imported Poser characters (in this case, V4). Instead of compositing the second skin in Photoshop over the base skin texture map, you can simply load in a second skin as an alpha layer over the skin materials in Vue 6. Besides the time savings, this approach has several other advantanges such as the ability to use separate bump/displacement maps, separate speculars, the production of real shadows, and eliminates the need for trans maps. Plus you can layer on as many items as you wish - in a photoshop-like fashion.

very nice, shame skinvue6 won't work in Vue6 esprit. skin texture looks very real.

Interesting thought - opens indeed a lot of options. Maybe another level with only the shape of the second skin and a little displacement on that then and it becomes VERY real even.

Looks good. One of these days I would love to try painting on clothes. Certainly would save me major money if I didn't have to buy outfits. LOL Hope you had a good weekend...Shannon ;}

That's interesting, Dave, but how do you make it fit the right places? Was this prepared in PS first, so that it matches the body already? And how about the environment settings? Do you leave all parameters to default? ( 100% coverage in altitude, slope and orientation)
