Description

Captured this deer mid fall in my front yard. Shortly after my brand new 40-150mm (80-300mm 35mm film equiv.) lens arrived these deer came visiting. As they were hungry and hoping for a treat, this bold young buck (the two little bumps on top of his head are visible in another photo) was just inches away from my porch where I was standing shooting down. Normally my deer pictures are quite lame but this new lens has really helped me capture the deer that frequent our area. I have a few new favorites from the winter but I am still sorting through those, but none of those can compare to this one. Now, if only I could get some fine captures of those wild turkeys that run around these woods.......... Thanks for viewing and all the comments on my last image. Hope you like this one!

I see what you mean about your new lens! this is fabulous. The detail and expression are priceless, it looks like he's smiling at you. The colors are fantastic, nice work for sure!!
