Description
I was writing an article for my local camera club journal about my meeting with Mother Teresa in Calcutta in 1981, and I had to dig out some old photographs to illustrate it. This is one of them and I thought I would share it with you.

Hi Rainbows. I can assure you that this little baby survived. It was one of the lucky ones which was rescued by Mother Teresa's novices from the slums of Calcutta.

Mother Teresa, how kewl was that?!? I've never seen pic's of her when she was younger.....I can see the love and compasion caught in this image. Even at a young age it is evident. I'm blown away~ Great shot! B&W gives it extra imapact for me. Aloha~

Great shot - but Punaguy - in '81 Mother Theresa was already in her 70's - the woman in the image she's most certainly not! Jack could probably tell...

Hello Kipweb and Punaguy. I think that there was a misunderstanding on Punaguys part. The photograph was never meant to suggest that this was Mother Teresa. In the photograph is one of the orphanages many novices, who looks about twenty. Mother Teresa must have been about 65 in 1981. Sorry for the confusion. If anyone would like to see one of the pictures of MT I would be delighted to send it off list.
