Good morning, afternoon, night!
This is a firebird statue find in a buddhist temple. Symbol of immortality and re-incarnation.
One of the 4 spiritual creatures which represent the four point of the compass.
Firebird - South,appeares when good fortune ahead
Totoise - North, symbol of long life
Dragon - East, bringer of good fortune symbol of power
Chi-lin is West, this is a creature with deer body, ox tail, horse hoover and wears a single horn. I havn't find what his represent....sorry.

A beautiful capture of a beautiful sculpture, Tunde! What vivid reds! Being the symbol of immortality and reincarnation, it reminds me of the Phoenix, the bird that rose from the ashes to live and thrive again. Lovely piece of furniture behind the dragon also.
