Yes on a fly-over, from this height, it looks empty and barren.
A lie to the eye.
Sage Brush, Cactus, Tumble Weeds and Brittle Bush.
Mesquite, Salt Cedar and Palo Verde.
From the Stink bug to the Mountain Lion.
Quail, Road Runners, Snakes and Wild Horses.
Peccaries, Coyotes, Ground Squirrels.
Butterflies, Centipedes, Scorpions.
Gold Mines and Ghost Towns.
Bones and remnants.
This land is not only full of life, it is full of the past.
You just have to look.
