Description

Captured 12/05 at Rancho Los Alamitos in Long Beach, California. There is a gorgeous batch of pampas grass I've seen growing adjacent to one of our many freeways, but because it's in a secluded arboreal spot surrounded by a fence, and not open to intruders with cameras, I have to figure out a way to safely penetrate the area for some quick snaps. I don't think it would be wise to park on the right side of the wild and thundering freeway in order to achieve this goal. Thanks for dropping by, and do everything I wouldn't do!

I love all the ornamental grasses......nice pic of this Pampas grass. I used to have some and remember how sharp the blades were....I was always getting slashed up whenever I was working around it.

Nice shot of these pampas tops. I love the way they sway in the breeze. I usually cut some of mine, dry them and spray them with a light coat of clear plastic for use in floral arrangements in the house. Good luck getting to the actual plants. Maybe just parachute in... LOL

Maybe I've watched one too many war movies, but you could tunnel your way in! Intriguing shot you got here, the low to the ground camera angle rocks. The texture along with the harsh light gives it a wonderful mood. Nice work!!

you right about the road. There was a man today crossing I-10 today on foot and he got hit by a car doing 75 mph. my friend was the fourth car behind and he was the first to reach the hit man. he was dead. I do not wish that on you so be careful on the roads. Very good shot

Splendid composition with the shorter ones to the right, forming a diagonal line, very pleasing.
