Description
Taken just over the North Carolina border, off of US-129 (The Dragon). We were driving down the street, and I suddenly felt the need to stop. We got out, horsed around for a few minutes, then explored the forest by the spot we pulled off at, we found this waterfall about 700 feet back from the road.
I used a Pentax k-1000 with a 50mm fixed lens. Alas, I don't know what f-stop and shutter speed I used. I scanned it into Photoshop CS, and boosted the saturation, then bumped the saturation on the rocks a little more to highlight the algae.
Comments, both complimentary and critical are appreciated, to help my next shot be that much better.

Beautiful capture! I've recently been experimenting with this kind of capture, were you using an ND filter?

very nice colours and framing. Maybe just a tad too much saturation in a couple of spots for my taste but that's just personal preference. Overall a very lovely shot.

Nice shot! It is a bit oversaturated, but that gives it a bit of another-worldly aura about it.
