Description
Captured at the city's nature center, about one-third of a mile from my abode.
The center, ensconced in a large park, boasts a variety of farm animals that would make even Old McDonald green with envy: chickens, geese, pigs, a donkey, miniature horse, turkey, pigs, sheep, goats, bovines, and, interestingly, llamas.
And no, there are no fetid aromas emanating from this area.
The llamas, definite favorites of mine, are attractive animals, friendly, passive, inquisitive, and gladly remain still for photographs, unlike most cats and dogs.
Anyway, the subject shown in the picture above, cute as it is, is in dire need of an orthodontist.
Thanks for dropping by, and more nature center animals and daisy manipulation captures to come!

Hi. Great pic! My uncle has 4 Alpacas on his sheep farm in Australia to guard the sheep, I would say llamas do the same elsewhere. He said if you put them in the same paddock they bunch together 'like a bunch of nattering women!' (his words not mine!) However, if you keep a paddock between them they do their job of guarding the sheep. Unfortunately they don't distinguish between foxes and sheep dogs so some care has to be taken there. His four do tolerate the mangy house dog Archie for some reason....probably because he looks more like a tattered lamb than a dog. Those city farms are great for kids that would otherwise never see a farm animal. There is one about 2 miles from my home too. Thanks for sharing. Jenny

I knew a boy back in the 2nd grade who looked just like this! Only he had a mass of freckles as well! Good shot and it brings a smile to the face... mine, not the llama's
