lov the color, great details

That is one of the most beautiful pianos I've ever seen, really. And judging from the floor boards, it does look huge indeed. Perhaps the POV makes it look a little smaller. Really wonderful monochrome colors, I love it. My compliments!

Wanderful shot, great moody tones.

A marvelous shot! It's interesting, that the square grand design was to save space in a parlor. Unfortunately, they went out of tune very quickly and required much maintenance. In fact, Steinway had a line of square grand pianos, and because of the inherent problems, took their entire inventory and burned them in a huge bon fire! Cheers :)

Strange - I didn't know they came square. Nice shot and super presentation !

an awesome piano and capture. before when I was working a lot, often I had to move some hellacious heavy antique pianos to paint. no fun believe me. some would take 5 1/2 men. I was the 1/2 because I quit over lifting long time ago

Always a pleasure to see such craftsmanship. Thank goodness there are people still out there that make beautiful instruments. I wonder who played this and who embroidered the piano stool?

This image has a definitely sublime feel to it. The concept of bigger than life, the grandeur of the image... incredible! For some reason, I too get goosebumps when I look at this image. The angle at which this photograph was taken, is most perfect, contributing greatly to the overall richness ....... I could look at it this image all day, as it brings back so many childhood memories for me.....Thank you! And again, a lovely image Kort!

The sound these make is just as grand as it's looks.

I can understand Nita's comment. There is something a bit spooky looking about it. I wouldn't be surprised if occasionally someone hears a slight tinkling sound from it when no one is there...Love the way you toned this. Thanks for sharing Kortalouche and hoping you're having a 'grand' Sunday. -M :^)
