Description
The union of Qi and Yun. The unseen energy within the body, the unseen energy throughout nature, the unseen energy flowing out of a painting through incomplete parts such as a branch not finished.
The pine indicates longevity and solitude combined with the plum blossom, standing for fortitude, plus the berries and fruits which are symbolic of the seasons to come - embody the most cherished ideals of the scholar.
In the caligraphy on the left I was attempting to convey the following thought 'falling water, the autumn, a peaceful beginning for the birds around'. I'm not sure however if they are placed correctly to convey that thought.
The seal on the left is 'flying water', it's placement is to hold some of the Qi in the picture that is running out with the water.
The seal on the top is my name in Chinese characters.
If anyone sees any mistakes in the above philosiphical aspect of this painting, please point them out to me so I may correct it.
Done completely in Photoshop. The toughest part and most time consuming was the drawing of the Chinese characters.
I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have.

I love knowing the meaning of the characters and forms, and this is a wonderful composition. Thank you!

Thanks to you both. It appears I messed up on the top character. It means violent or turbulant and there is no reference to water. I will take care of that :-)
