To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather

Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.

I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

The Lotus Eaters: derived from a Tennyson poem: A land where all things always seemd the same! And round about the keel with faces pale, Dark faces pale against that rosy flame, The mild-eyed melancholy Lotos-eaters came. Branches they bore of that enchanted stem, Laden with flower and fruit, whereof they gave To each, but whoso did receive of them And taste, to him the gushing of the wave Far far away did seem to mourn and rave On alien shores; and if his fellow spake, His voice was thin, as voices from the grave; And deep-asleep he seemd, yet all awake, And music in his ears his beating heart did make The Lotos-Eaters [extract] by Alfred, Lord Tennyson (18091892) So you see ... the mysterious aspects of your [great] image fit beautifully. It's cosmic ... some would say that it's intergalactic ... or more likely a depiction of the reconciliation between will and destiny. Well done dear Mina.

LOL.....I'm trying to make connections with the title, and believe it or not... I have! I see the swirls representing the number "8", as they twirl around the beautiful ??. I love this image simply because it leaves so much up to the imagination, and no matter how many times you look at this, one will always see something new and different. Gorgeous colours by the way. Love the way they all "mingle" with one another.... Thank you for sharing Mina!

I think it was more than a lotus you "eight" LOL Nice work!

I love you use of colors here. It kind of reminds me of those things you run your fingertips under and the heat of them makes the colors change, like a mood ring. Lovely work, Mina.Hope all is well with you. -M :^)
