Description

I have a favorite place in the woods, a little quiet brook. The last month's constant raining has made it to something quite different. I am very fascinated by water, can stay looking at it for a long time, whatever shape it takes. As it was the first day in ages with a clear sky, I just had to go out, testing my new little friend,a Canon Ixus 850 IS. (In US it is called Powershot 800 IS) I am not a camera pro, I use my cam most to get photos to work with in 2d, therefore I am not interrested in big cameras with those advanced lenses you guys use. I want something to put in my jeans pocket, that take decent shots, nothing more :-) My main interest is 2D, but now and then I want to show something from my cam, but of course I cannot hold myself from a little postwork in PSP7. Thanks forviewing and the comments you want to give

I know you enjoy your 2D work but I have greatly admired your camera work when you post it. This is another example of excellent camera work. This water action is technically stopped but it creates the illusion of movement anyway. Excellent job.

Wonderful photo, Gun. I share your fascination with water. It is such a metaphor for much of life. I think our bodies, which are mostly water, are drawn to water everywhere, as though it recognizes the kinship and seeks to return to its source. I look forward to enjoying anything you want to share from your new camera. Hugs!

Our philosophies are somewhat similar. In many ways, my photos are a means to an end, and I guess that's why I've been hovering between photography and 2D recently. Anyway, this is an interesting capture and it reminds me a bit of this marble I have in my bathroom. Hope you are having en underbar Sundag!-m :^)

Water is life is something youve heard surely a million times before, but to me it is like a chain of moments and I can watch them moving towards the past, every single moment is on the move, esp. the future ;o) Hugs Gun!!

We have a creek also, just a teensy thing it was last year. This year it's a roaring river almost. This is a wonderful shot!
