I quite like the hybrid ship you have done I also construct ships some times from others you may want to try using the same texture for all of the sections as it makes the various pieces stand out less also naming the creators of the original meshes is probably a good idea also it save them getting a bit miffed with you The later part is just some advice from a fellow artist keep up the good work
