Description

hello there everyone, sharing a digitaly painted portrait, in artrage - tablet. all from scratch (from memory and visualization). inpsiration for this work, came from my own charcoal sketch, that i did of one of my friends/students. though its painted with expressive, unblended brushstrokes, but the composition, lighting and setting is very much done in a neo-classical manner. the model here, is in abaaya and in a translucent veil, in a relaxing mood, turns her head slighty and makes an eye contact. my goal was to capture that mood and moment, that stayed. thanks for droping by...cheers all. regards, waheednasir. www.waheednasir.com cheers... :).

I love your portraits of this woman. She is beautiful and has an air of mystery. The lighting adds to that mystery. I missed the veil initially, but I can see now that the coloring is the result of the light on the veil. What splendid work. Her eyes are particularly interesting to me, and you skill a painting eyes is to be applauded. The folds of the abaaya are very natural. Her position is also appealing and natural. Excellent work of art, Waheed. A pleasure to view.

This is definitely one of my great favoutites of your paintings. painted beautifull and with deep emotions; a noble and self-conscious lady veiled from the (bad) world. Wonderfully captured moment!
