Happy Monday everyone ... here's another picture I took just yesterday while up along Lake Superior ... on the way home, we stopped by a river and I got so lucky I found this little duckie! Wow, something besides Cardinals and Blue Jays! LOL This is a Bufflehead - I looked it up in my Bird book. (otherwise, I'd be calling her a HIM and name it a White Cheeked Duck) Most migrate to southern states like Mexico and Central America, very few are in Minnesota. They nest in old woodpecker cavities, and she is very territorial and stays with the same mate for many years.
