Description

My friend didn't like the picture of herself, and asked me to prep it up a bit more so she looked more beautiful then she already was XD, she loved my re-vamp and gave me permission to place my work on here to show off a little XD used Adobe photoshop 7.0, my camera used to take the first picture was an OLYMPUS C2500L. which I am still learning to use....... -long pause- I am getting there slowly, but with a new kitten and website design and college, I have little time with my beloved camera scuse typos was written at 1am in the morning

The second image does enhance her beauty.

Good one. Maybe a little too much sharpening IMHO. I think if you apply gaussian blur or lens blur to the background to simulate DOF it'll look better, as the actual background distracts from the model.

I agree about the background. It is distracting. Maybe crop it vertically and blur the background a bit. Also, I might burn it just a little in the background to make her pop out. I think it is just a bit too sharp. She definatly has flawless skin in the 2nd image.

Nice face, but why brighten and sharpen the background? Or the shirt and hand for that matter. Those areas could have been left like they were. The sharpening is a bit much. If it were mine, I'd place her re-worked body by itself over the original image, and then set that layer it in at only about 60 or 70%. That way you'd still get the benefit of your face work, but not so extreme. The rest of the shot could remain as is allowing her to stand out.

yes you could have just her brighten up and the background done as the others say. What the other say is true. Hope this will help

I think you did really good. Her face looks great in your postworked version. Im not that sure blurring out the background as everyone suggests would be such a good idea. First of all it would be completely unrealistic..unless you blurred out the couch as well and how weird wouldnt that look. No i think you should be happy with what youve got there. A terricif snapshot for your photo album. But if you ever were to wanna give it a more interesting background and turn it into something a bit more artistic i suggest you paint in some kind of brighter background instead of blurring out the present one. You did great, keep up the good job. #:o)
