I have recently started concentrating on detail in my photos, however am still a beginner. I was born and bred in Cape Town and have traveled all over South Africa, and have seen many beautifull nature and wonders scenes. My aim is to see as many places in the world in order to capture and experience the earth with all its variety. My joy in life is my children and my wife.
I have recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix FZ30, which has done wonders to my picture quality. I boast of a 8 Meg. Pixel quality and a 420mm zoom lens.

Glad someone got a good shot; I could not resolve the comet due to weather then I ran into light clouds on the horizon last week before it dropped below the horizon.

Ah - you got it!. Ohm Piet will not be happy with me - I forgot to check. But you did! Congrats on that - I guarantee that this one is the rarest shot anyone will have for quite a while. What about trying tomorrow zoomed in fully? I see you were at 89mm...

I was so happy to get to see this! It has been so cloudy here and I didn't think my family and I would see it but we did. I doubt any of my shots will be this good. Yeah those luckies in the Southern Hemi!
