Description


This image is a thirty second exposure of the southern sky showing the winter stars from Britain. The constellation Orion is in the centre of the frame. The star Procyon in Canis Minor is on the left of the image and the V shape of Taurus with its brightest star Aldebaran on the right. The orange glow is caused by street lighting from the surrounding towns.

Superb capture of my favorite constellation and nebula. BTW, your thumbnail has horrible JPEG compression artifacts.
