Nice image. Interesting point about how the technology has developed and improved over the years. Anyone remember 3D on the Amiga? Things have come a long way since that red chequered bouncing ball. :-) Just look at those lights and reflections: gorgeous.

Remember 3-D on the Amiga? I can do better than that, I programmed 3-D on a Tandy Color-Computer II over 26 years ago. :-) Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

How about the Vic 20, with its overwhelming 7k of ram! I too am from the old days, having cut my programming teeth hacking C64 games, moving onto basic, then C, to C++. Ok, enough about me; nice work, especially like the refraction.

The render is certainly amazing. I don't know much about the 3D render programs available but the rich translucent colours of the pieces and their shadows are admirable. Excellent work!

Excellent work!

Nice creation and happy ten years birthday! I prefer the ten years piture because light and atmo is warmer and translucient chess pieces is more closed to the amber.

Very nice, but your board is turned wrong by 90 degrees. The white square is always in the players right near corner.

Exceptional - a nice progression indeed from your earlier image

Excellent render! I especially love the Rook closest to the camera; the internal reflection on that piece are amazing. You almost every piece of the set in that one Rook.

I remember the family thinking your parents were "crazy" to buy that Tandy Computer for "the kid." How glad I am that we did not listen to their voices! A truely beautiful image!! MOM
