Wow...it was removed? I DID comment on the first posting. I am VERY pro-America. I have seen PLENTY of anti-Bush/anit-American art that stays here, so what's the deal!? To remove this and leave some of the rest is hypocritical. Also, that says lots about the admins of this site....depressing. Well, I support you and my country to the end. Keep up the great work!! -chachi Ps- the Good Guys will get 'em, don't worry....

What utter bullshit! If this is truly how Renderosity feels, then they had better prepare to have their "ART" removed in the name of ALLAH! BOOOOOO Renderosity! BOOOOOOOOO!

Glad to see you reposted it...I'm glad he's on our team. BTW folks, the artist is not saying the ADMINS removed his work, re-read his comment!

Welcome back! Sorry you went through that for over nothing. It's still a great image.

To chachi and to rookar...welcome to the double standard. There was a very anti american piece on here and the first thing when someone made a very simple calm comment (which the artist actually asked a question about viewpoints) about it was instant "Burn The Witch" reaction. I would have not reposted. Hypocrisy 101 in action. -Rob

I did comment on this image - or more on the text before - to the effect that a photography forum might not be an ideal place for a discussion on this topic. What the description of this image as a "highly expressive piece of art" is concerned - that it is most definitely not. Neither now - nor in the original post did anyone referred these attributes to the image. It is a photo of a Soldier with a gun. It's an ok photo, but neither a great one nor does it display artistic qualities. Some people might like it, others less - but so much to the photo. On the other hand I wouldn't ask for the removal or censorship of the description it comes with, because I might not like what someone says, either. Unless you're clearly offensive or post material that is not yours, I could care less.

Photography as art can be very subjective. Some of the best works I have seen, in my opinion, is actually photography. It is visceral. Some may see this as just a man with a gun, but this picture speaks volumes and I for one think it is beautiful. I'm beginning to post photos of a natural disaster that occured out my back porch a few months ago and I'm suprised the first photo is still up.

Whatever the politics are, I'm glad i dont know; for I have enough trouble in my own back yard. But Artisic wise, I love it. You caught the essence of a Man on a mission. The Glory of it is, that you can see he whole heartedly believes in his mission and is forthright devoted his being unto it. That kind of inspiration should speak to any soul at any level any nation and any creed. I yearn for the Day that someday all mankind can devote themselves to Harmony rather than discord. Its a shame we are waiting for another lifetime. When we all want what could be in the here and Now. Perhaps thats because theres too much feelings of offenses toward ones inward rather than outward projection of Love. Thumbs up! good capture! 5+ Ps welcome aboard!
