Description

I have see many clouds, white and billowy to dark gray and foreboding. This is the first time I have seen and also been able to photograph blue clouds, truly blue clouds! On my monitor,the color is very,very close to how these clouds did look today. This color was something unusual. The appearance was "painted" in watercolor or done in pastels. Perhaps the artist chose the incorrect color...clouds are not blue, are they? These were. So, I post this to show blue clouds. Only minimal editing done to the image. In fact, this is not sharpened at all, since I do not sharpen in camera. What you see is pretty much what the camera saw today. Likely only a few comments on this shot but I thought it worth posting. This would make a fine backdrop for studio photography, perhaps. For me, the view was captivating in real life.

Deep blue in clouds is caused by light traveling through substantial layers of clouds to cause the red spectrum the be completely absorbed. Scientific yes, but it seems very far removed from just simply enjoying the random textures associated with it. Very appealing.

I love this yeahh blue shot! I call this shade "baby blue". Cool cloud formation too! This season bring to us so many strange never before seen phenomenons.

It reminds me of pictures taken underwater of crashing waves as they roll in toward the shore. I have always loved looking at clouds and find them very intriguing and mesmerizing to look at and to watch change as they dance their way across the sky riding the currents of the wind. Great Capture, Tom!
