Description

Tijobal Cho Ja / Homeschooling: (Tijobal means at Home and Cho Ja means school in Quiche dialect) I was at a party for a 1 year old last weekend, there we met a family with a very young boy, maybe 9 years old, I was very impressed with his attitude and his nice nature, so talking with his parents I learned that he is homeschooled, they told me that since he was very young they have taught him to stand for himself and question everything that he is taught, so as you can imagine the school system didn't work for him, a school system that was designed to indoctrinate people instead of educating them. He learns at home the tools and skills that will shape him into a very successful individual, I can tell. My humble image depicts a homeschooled young dragon, and his first class "How to produce fire 101"
