Large moth, maybe? I would have a hard time standing still while this creature came this close to me! But it's a great shot, considering how fast they must be!

I've always thought photographing bugs would be great but you are right! They won't stay still any longer than a hyperactive 5 year old child! Great job with this one.

I agree insects are just as "flighty" as other animals when it comes to staying still long enough to capture them on film. I've been told ths guy is a hummingbird moth. He probably has a more formal name but that's what I was told. They are a moth but sound and act so much like hummingbirds I assume that's how he got his name.
