Description
The day seemed so good to start, a nice shining sun, blue sky and the yearly tournament ahead. Full of joy the knight rode away on his horse. That the day shouldn't turn out that nice he couldn't know, but he should have been more carefull, since rumors of goblins had gone around for some time.

This looks really good, as for the path, I would use a copy of the original terrain and then raise up the path area and assign an seperate material to it, just a suggestion. Of course you'll have to lower the copy a little for that to work so the new material doesn't 'bleed' over to the grass etc too much.

Hey thanks, that's a good tips, although the file is 45 meg allready :( another high-res terrain makes my pc burn real holes in my HD. Any tips on creating grass?

The evergreens are of a style that should be bigger, like the giant redwoods. If you wanna keep em that size, I'd suggest shrinking their trunk size to make them look more like a smaller variety of tree. I love the jutting rock he's behind. You might try leaning the deciduous trees just ever so slightly this way and that so they don't look so identicle and set more naturally. Maybe lower the shadows a little. They're a little stark given the amount of haze. The deciduous trees could stand to be a little bigger too or make them look younger and not so mature. That's what stands out most for me. I love the poses you've got them in.

A duplicate terrain is the best way to go for the path. However, real paths tend to be indented into the ground rather than rise above it. If you make the duplicate terrain just a tiny bit smaller than the main ground one (it does not have to be as hi-res as the main ground), then 'cut' your path into the main terrain by making it slightly lower, you'll get a better effect. Be sure to use a very soft brush in the terrain editor so the sides of the path aren't too sharp. Assign the lower terrain a sand or dirt texture. (I used a similar technique to create the dirt road in the gypsy pic in my gallery.)

scene looks great.. but the mace looks not solid enough to look threating, suggest you get or make a more solid mace in place of one in scence..
