Description

I finally found some spare time to finish texturing this model. Plus I even had time to set it in a scene. The lighting needs some more work and there are some flaws here and there, but all in all it turned out better than I anticipated. Hope you like it. Comments and critique welcome! Coming up: front, right and perspective renderings of the textured model.

Fantastic modelling and composition. But I've got to think if it was a real airship you'd need more rigid support to the gasbag as when the propellers were going full bore in flight air resistance would push the gasbag back and down into the propellers!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments! Obliged. @ William: You are right. I originally thought the propellers were just for orientating the vessel, not for thrust. That would make the ship a gas bag balloon and the traveling would be with the wind currents... But the more I think of it I'd like to have the ship more or less able to go where the driver pleases, not just for ballooning. AND the balloon is too small to lift that payload, I know. I may have to redesign the ship to have a rigid construction of the cabin and balloon. But not gondola-like as in the rigid airships (such as zeppelins). But thanks for your points. I take them into consideration.
