Description

Ive not posted anything for ages as Ive been brushing up on postworking. So heres one that Ive tried to add a few minimal additions. Ive yet to successfully post trees & this is a scaledown of a 4500 x 3500 render thats been running for 8 days solid :( 70% done. Id welcome any comments specifically on post working & any tips are greatly appreciated. Planetscape in Mojo Pro & post sun flare & birds, grass & LARGE sheels in Photoimpact. Image at 200dpi if you want to print it. TFV&C W

Like it Warren - the only issue i have is 'scale', the gulls look a bit on the big side to me, apart from that it's a superb image, the flare with anamorphic reflections works well...

great terrain & mats but what me really struck me is the water transparency for me the birdies are just in scale ;-) and use of flares is to me just a matter of taste

This is really amazing work Warren, I agree on the birds and the sunflare. If you scale the birds it would be hard to see them and the sunflare, well you decide!

Great POV, Warren. I love the wee beach. The gulls look just fine. A very long render. Do you have your PC in a fridge, to keep it from bursting into flames? ;o) Regards, John.

Beautiful work Woz, like the crispness to this render and i like the smooth reflective lake.. The only thing i dont like much is the photoshop lens flare, its too overused.. Are there any other programs with other types of sunglints/lens flares other than photoshop ?

The terrain is great and I like the shoreline areas. The shore and underwater area on the left is especially good. The gulls look OK but the grass looks a little strange. I think this world is a bit too fantastical for the gulls. Maybe some alien lifeforms would be better. I rarely try to post work objects in. It's so hard to get it to look right you're as well using models in the actual scene.

Thk you all for your welcomed feedback. The gulls size was an awkward one to try & fathom, its hard to try & "guess" the scale when post working, so I appreciate the comments about scale. The lensflare I also fully understand. I used it as the sky is cloudless but I wanted to add in some feature that would add to the overall image impact. @ Shaun its not PS :-)Efflux, I would have loved to have added some alien veggies in there or critters or alike but now at 10 days & 92% complete just for the base terrain,,,it would have only pushed the rendertimes higher in my view & I really want to get my PC back so I can work on the next one :-)) Yet I agree, I try to do as much in meshes as possible simply as Im lousy at Postworking. PP Trees maybe my only option moving forward as the trees I create are possibly over complex & my sys grinds to a slower than a snail "chug" :(. Thx all again for the feedback, keep Mojo-ing:)
