Description

After going wild with the Dutch East Indiaman approach of adding sails as the wind dies jumping to the English approach of just tops and a trysail is quite a leap. The Doldrums is even worse when you're on land in a desert.

Who's the lucky b*****d with the torch? That's what I want to know! Sand ships are OK ... it's the baling out which is really galling. Mike

A store with only one DAZ spotlight? WTH? She should go down the street and invest in a Cararra distant light. Think of what she could do if she could afford a dose of Anything Glows (the prototype of which was a plugin developed in Belarus around 1985). Nice pose, and elegantly lit---with a fine highlight in the armpit. Hey, I believe DS has a "point at" function for cameras and lights, is that right?

Right - it's tough to keep the lights on with all the storms.

One of the secrets of getting Poser spot lights to work is backing them well back. This goes in spades in DAZ Studio. Also don't try to light the front when your light is on the side. Weeble about a bit to see the projection of the light on the floor as an object then steer that around to a suitable place before using the angular controls to get highlights and glow. Next, color. With only one light and skin to light it show be a bit orange. I bought a book to learn about photography lights. The little paper slip that comes with the film was clueless about studio.

Dear Dale, Knowing you, I'll bet you could name all the sails from the main topgallant on down to the spritsail!!!! You do have knowledge in a LOT of directions!!! I thing snad sailing would be really cool!! And even cooler would be ice sailing!! That has to be a real rush!!! Not too sure about the general store, but I'll assume it all in shadows!!! The lighting upon her is almost like a flashlight beam in a darkened room!!! Very different and very well done!!! Love ya!!! Meredith Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand
