Anybody have any advice for getting good pictures of snow? I alwasy seems a bit washed out if I have to capture anything dark too. Less contras maybe?

lol, funny! Perhaps try raising the ISO speed if it is blurry, but when it is to bright lower the ISO, it will keep the shutter from over adjusting, or maybe just try messing around with the white balance that way you can tell before you even shot.
