WOW! What hidden gems lurk in this gallery! I've been playing hopscotch here, and I'm finding so many things I want to comment on...in which case, I'll be doing so in the future. I must say that this image appeals to me immensely. It's expertly done, but it also reminds me of the artwork I have seen on book covers for such authors as Aldous Huxley, usually on editions of his work reprinted during the 1960s and early 1970s. Those cover paintings (as well as the novels [Eyeless in Gaza,if you're interested] they accompanied) left lasting impressions with me, and those impressions have come swirling back all these years later! Fantastic gallery, top notch work!
