Description

I know this one is late in posting but I had entered it into the Holidays Around the World Contest. At first I was reluctant to enter as I was going to use the image for Xmas cards. Well in the end I entered it and ended up winning. I am blown away and very thankful for Renderosity and the sponsor for this contest! So I guess in the end I get Xmas in January:) Ok sorry to go on like that, I am just so excited as this is the first time I have ever won a contest with my art:) Ok enough rambling:p Thanks for looking! ~Painted in Photoshop CS with wacom tablet.

Excellent work as usual. But the smoothing of large areas of the face doesnt seem to fit to an old man like Santa and to his (excellently made) aged regions around the eyes. Congratulations for winning the contest!

This image is fabulous and a truly unique xmas picture! It's incredible the amout of detail you made in this picture. Starting with Santa's skin, in eye wrinkles are fabulous! They're amazingly done, I love all the detail in the wrinkles, I specially like the work in Santa's rigth eye. I also like the fact that you made Santa's iris with a vivid blue contrasting with the wrinkles. I regret the rest of Santa's skin being so "young" and not accompaning the wrinkles in his eyes. I think that the nose should have more wrinkles and the forehead too. Still I congratulate you for the work you did! Santa's bear is amazing!!! I love the texture you created and specially the way you used colors in the white bear. The blue in the rigth gives a fantastic and magical look to the picture!! The texture on Santa's hat and clothing is also superb. And the backgorund helps to give that warm feeling of xmas! I really like this picture! And congrats for winning the contest! This picture surely deserved it!! Adn I hope you win much more contests!
