I would like a garage door like that. Is this by any chance printed on aluminum and then hung on the garage door? This is a relatively new process being used. I've thought about it. Beautiful photography and presentation.

I am glad you liked it the way I did. I am sure I should have added a story in the first place. About a couple of years ago I was visiting a friend, Marina, for a housewarming party. Her garage had and still has a door the previous owner had bought from a car service people. Therefore the gate carries all the wonderful reminders of lots of paintwork patches. I can't even imagine how old it is. Older than a couple of decades for sure, for it's made of thick iron plate. Moreover, I was able to turn it any direction to see how the light was playing on the its textures. It was so fascinating that I made about a dozen captures without thinking much then of what it would turn out to be. Later on I used a fragment or two for a couple of RR postings as well a commercial project. Only now while I was looking through my archives, an idea of a collage came on my mind... Thank you all and have a great weekend.
