Looking at that frozen lake of hope gone by Searching for feelings that on the surface hide. Feeling the cold icy wind of treachery Leafless trees treated wrongly All the pain masked by black waters The mask of happiness seen by others The solitude felt in every bone All the hurt left unknown Every wound uncovered and bare Every person who stood there and stared Each individual too busy to lend a hand Every strike to my heart came completely unplanned. So watch me drown in my lake of fears That was made of my wandering tears
