Finally!! I finished this painting! :o) My first 100 % hand painted illustration. No filters, no adjustements, no pre-made bg with brushes... Just matte painting and lot of patience! :o) I use poser JUST for anatomical references. I think that I am turning into 2D digital painting more than anything else. I really love this way much more. PS: Alfheim ("elf home"), in Norse mythology, is one of the nine worlds. It is located on the highest level of the Norse universe. Also found on this level are the worlds of Asgard and Vanaheim. To say that it's amazing would be a misunderstatement! LOL! This one looks fantastic all over (although i think the column in front could use a little more shadows at the sides to match the girl apparent lighting) and if they have doorkeepers like this on Alfheim i suppose i should give up trying to conquer this world and aim toward it instead - i can't even imagine what the maids would look like! :D Lotsa congrats for this formidable piece!! ;)

If it is a first painting I must take it apart. The drape of the cloth is so soft and touchable, creasing where it sholud, well done. The sky is just so beautiful, the clouds the perfect colour, and softness to dream on, well done. The body is well proportioned, and the muscles defined, well done. The city in the background is very magical looking, well done. Her personal colouring suits her to a T, well done. The accessories are beautiful and seem made just for her, well done. The tiny details, like the lettering, the jewels and sparks of magic are exactly right, well done. Each small thing is terrific on it's own, together they are magnificent! WELL DONE! Brava! BJ
