Description
I always wanted to colour stuff in using Photoshop, I got hold of CS2 and I have been slowly learning the art of colouring using it, using layers and various techniques.
This image was originally drawn by Hellion/Bubastis in around 2005. She said to me, why don't you use it for a colour experiment, so I did.
So this picture is the synthesis of her art talent combined with my new colour skills.
I like to think of it as being a character from an Exalted RPG story I wrote a short while ago, it inspired me to colour it as if she were one of the Solar Exalted: Dawn Caste.
So we present Striking Sun Child, posted with Hellion/Bubastis' permission and coloured by me! (a first)
Kharnate and Adam Wolfe are our other personas from another site, to clarify that.

Many thanks. It wasn't the first thing I coloured, but I am quite pleased with it compared to my earlier (grin) experiments heh I'll be posting a new colour image tomorrow that I am extremely pleased with, it's also new art by Helli too!

The background is to bright it takes away some of the excellent art and coloring from a superb figure get that background darker for max contrast and let em see that fantastic figure

Thanks Pat, but the specification of the posting was for non-critical comments. The background is indicative of the character's Anima banner, in Exalted. The physical manifestation of the Solar's power as they continue to expend something called Essence. In her case it's a whirling fire-born spray of autumn leaves that swirls about her. Of course I didn't think to put that up in the image notes at the top, heh.

Heh, I always thought that Rodrigo but I'm not the artist in question :) It was only a sketch however, so that's probably why it was never finished up. It never got used and was originally sent as a quick example to a guy that hired Hellion to do some similar art for his RPG.

I consulted Hellion on the hand, I removed the original spell effect that was there, it was a glowing blast of energy which magnified the right hand - so that explains it :)
