Description

I've wanted to redo some older images, especially in the Redrope Series. This one is Redrope #4, done in Aug 2000. With 6 more years of Bryce experience, I want to make the older images look better, while keeping the same basic idea of the original picture. I hate deciding between nostalgia and quality. The strangest thing in pulling the old .br4 file up was working at 640 x 480 screen size and back then I rendered at the same size. Now it's rendered abut three times that size. Any opinions?

Maybe you were working with 640 X 480 as a default and now your 'default' is larger? Or perhaps you are working with 'max recommended' as a default?

Definitely better. Warmer, more textured, better lit. Looks great!

very stylish has that "Invincibles"-50s look. i love the colors and the lighting. the bit where the rope crosses itself is a lil too angular maybe?

You can definitely tell you've been getting better! Interesting that the original seemed stylized for like the 80's, and the newer one set in an 'older' time...I like's yup.

The rope looks more convincing in the new one--plus the lighting is oh so much better--it makes you look at the tv now and not the upper corner!

Wonderful Fifties feel to it. Definitely like the new version best, although both are good. Also nice to see a Red Rope picture again.

Super. You even went to the trouble of changing the scene on the TV.

The 'rope is back! :-) The new pic's definitely better -- nicely done as always! (Hmmm, I wonder what the rope does if I change the channel... reaches for the knob :-) )
