Walle, as you are going for the ultimate in realism.. With the water, most puddles on asphalt roads have a 2" wide damp rim where dirt absorbs water from the puddle by capilliary action. This makes the puddle edge look a bit darker than the rest of the road. The running man. I don't think I've ever met anyone quite as bald as him. Would his shirt show wrinkles. Whatever I say, this picture is already so far beyond my capability I really cannot comment with any authority. Well done. It's superb, and to think there is more to come...

Awesome work, I know what you mean about the mind doing things ten step ahead of the body.

Great idea but -- but may I suggest that you render this in pieces: 7.5 hours is a killing investment in one image-- too much, and makes it very hard to tweak. Render your elements individually, and then composite them in Photoshop (or Combustion, or whatever). You'll have much more control, and you can work interactively.

Thanks for the great comments folks! Oshio: You got a point there - as suggested earlier. :D Thanks! Crocodilian: Thank you for your ideas. The 7.5 hours is from Medium Extended Antialiasing...

Impressive scene. That is a great setting you've got there, and good story line. Hmmm..seems vaguely familiar ;-). The guy looks really convincing. The girly should be staring in horror back at the walker, right? Anyway, fun! But those render times..groan! Sounds like it is time for a little cpu upgrade, to lessen the rendering pain.
